But Christ will rule with an iron rod and sin will not be tolerated under his rule and the 144,000 faithful assistant Jews who believed in him through the preaching of the last two prophets , the two olive trees in Jerusalem . It is clear in the Bible that before Christ returns the antichrist will reign for three and one half years on earth and then Christ will return at the battle of Armageddon , assuming his rightful kingly authority in the temple temporarily usurped by his nemesis . If Christ is reigning now why isn't sin stopped ? He isn't weak and that is what he hates most . And after his 1000 year reign Christ will one last time loosen Satan to gain enough enemies on earth to challenge his authority . There will not be another Armageddon . Christ will destroy them with fire from heaven .
